What do we expect from you?

- Oversee the design, deployment, and management of the infrastructure, such as managing cloud resources, on-premises infrastructure, networking, and automation tools.

- Define Relevant Service Level Objectives for applications and work with his team to ensure their adherence including availability, latency, and error rates.

- Manage the delivery of DevOps solutions and solve challenging problems.

- Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines for efficient and reliable delivery of software updates and new features to production.

- Work closely with development teams to ensure that applications are designed and architected in a way that aligns with SRE best practices.

- Build, manage, and lead a team of DevOps and SRE engineers.

- This includes recruiting, training, and mentoring the team members to ensure a positive and collaborative work environment.

- Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in SRE and DevOps and promote a culture of continuous learning within the team.

- The role requires strong leadership skills to identify gaps within the team and implement training and development plans to improve the capabilities of individuals.

- Should have a BTech Degree.

Desired skills and experience :

- 10 to 15 years of experience in DevOps.

- Managed a team of 15-20 engineers.

- Experience in setting up cloud deployments from ground up.

- Managed a large infrastructure in at least one cloud.

- Experience in writing code (scripts) and making things go live (ops).

- Confident with the Command Line, Linux, Git, AWS, Vagrant, CI, and Docker.

- Can deploy anything with Chef (or Puppet, Ansible, Salt, etc).

- Self starter/ finisher; creative and problem solver.

- Passionate about learning new technologies and techniques.

- Thrives in a fast-paced startup environment where there may be multiple competing priorities.

- Team player and have good communication skills.

- Must have a BE/BTech degree.

Nice-to-have :

- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, Apache Mesos, Marathon, and related frameworks.

- Experience with modern monitoring systems like SignalFX, Riemann, Graphite, Diamond, etc.
