Job Profile : Senior DevOps Engineer

Location : Hyderabad, India.

Reports To : Team Lead, DevOps

Team : DevOps (cross-functional with Development, IT-Security team)

Position Overview :

The Senior DevOps Engineer plays a key role in delivering secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure for Visualfabriqs platform. As part of the DevOps team, you will own and enhance CI/CD pipelines, manage and optimize Cloud environment, implement infrastructure as code (IaC), and actively collaborate with Development and Security teams. You will be responsible for driving operational excellence while mentoring peers and influencing best practices across the engineering organization.

Core Responsibilities :

- Ensure our services and infrastructure are secure, highly available, and scalable

- Monitor and optimize infrastructure performance to reduce end-user incidents

- Lead infrastructure and service configuration for performance tuning and cost optimization

- Champion and implement infrastructure as code (IaC) and automation practices

- Manage secure access control in collaboration with the Information Security Team

- Maintain SOC/ISO compliance across infrastructure

- Participate in the design and review of scalable system architectures

- Contribute to the software development lifecycle by supporting infrastructure integration

- Serve as incident commander during major outages and lead post-incident reviews

- Mentor and support junior DevOps engineers in the team

Key Processes and Activities :

- CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance (CircleCI, GitHub Actions)

- Product and infrastructure deployment, configuration, and versioning

- Infrastructure monitoring and alerting (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog)

- Infrastructure automation (AWS CDK)

- Security hardening and access management (IAM, Secrets Management, Nginx, HTTPS)

- Cost analysis and optimization strategies across AWS services

- Incident response and root cause analysis

Technical Expertise & Specialization :

- Deep expertise in Linux and OS-level management

- AWS (core services like Lambda, EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, ECS, etc.)

- Proficient in Python for scripting and automation

- Infrastructure as Code preferably AWS CDK

- CircleCI, GitHub, GitHub Actions (CI/CD pipeline design)

- Microservices and serverless architecture experience

- Nginx (secure reverse proxying, TLS cert management)

- Web Servers, MongoDB performance tuning

- Experience in securing internet-facing services

Key Relationships :

- Development Teams : support feature rollout, review infra needs

- Information Security Team : ensure compliance, manage secrets/access

Requirements :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent working experience

- 7 - 9+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps or Infrastructure roles

- Demonstrated experience in building and managing secure AWS environment

- Strong knowledge of modern CI/CD tooling and pipelines

- Comfortable with configuration management and version control best practices

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
