We are seeking a highly skilled and specialized DevOps Engineer on a contract basis to focus exclusively on optimizing and automating our infrastructure and deployment pipelines within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

This role requires mandatory, deep expertise in CI/CD automation using tools like Jenkins/Harness and expert management of containerized applications via Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).

The ideal candidate will drive efficiency, security, and scalability for our cloud-native services in Bengaluru.

Key Responsibilities & Technical Deliverables

Containerization and Orchestration :

- Design, deploy, and maintain scalable containerized applications using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).

- Manage cluster upgrades, networking (VPC, firewall rules), security policies, and cost optimization within GKE.

- Define and maintain robust Docker images and container best practices for all application deployments.

CI/CD Pipeline Automation :

- Tooling Expertise (Mandatory) : Implement, manage, and optimize complex CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and/or modern deployment tools like Harness. Focus on achieving full automation from code commit to production release.

- Deployment Strategies : Implement advanced deployment strategies such as Blue/Green, Canary, and rolling updates to ensure zero-downtime releases.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Monitoring :

- GCP Services : Provision and manage core GCP infrastructure services (e., Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, BigQuery) using Infrastructure as Code tools (preferably Terraform).

- Monitoring & Logging : Configure and maintain comprehensive logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions using GCP tools (Cloud Monitoring/Stackdriver) or equivalent third-party services to ensure system reliability and proactive issue detection.

Required Skills & Technical Expertise :

- Cloud Platform (Mandatory) : Deep, demonstrable hands-on experience managing and automating infrastructure within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

- Orchestration (Mandatory) : Expert proficiency in deploying, managing, and troubleshooting production workloads on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).

- CI/CD Tools (Mandatory) : Strong practical experience implementing and maintaining pipelines using Jenkins, Harness, or equivalent enterprise-grade CI/CD platforms (e., GitLab CI, Spinnaker).

- Scripting : Proficiency in Shell scripting and/or Python for automation and operational tasks.
