About the Role :

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our in-house team in Jaipur.

This is a full-time, on-site role where you'll be responsible for architecting and managing secure, scalable, and reliable cloud infrastructure.

The ideal candidate is hands-on with AWS or Google Cloud, experienced in Kubernetes, and an expert in CI/CD using Jenkins.

You will also play a key role in debugging, team mentoring, and client communication.

Key Responsibilities Infrastructure & Cloud Engineering :

- Architect, implement, and maintain cloud-native infrastructure on AWS or GCP using best practices for security, scalability, and reliability.

- Manage production Kubernetes clusters (EKS, GKE, or self-hosted) including deployment strategies and version upgrades.

- Build and optimize robust CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins for automated testing, integration, and deployment.

Production Support & Observability :

- Monitor and maintain production environments, ensuring high availability and performance.

- Implement and maintain tools for observability including monitoring, alerting, logging, and tracing (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).

- Lead troubleshooting and debugging of complex production issues; perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.

Security & Governance :

- Enforce security best practices including IAM, secrets management, network segmentation, and compliance standards.

- Ensure infrastructure complies with internal and external audit/security requirements.

Team Collaboration & Client Interaction :

- Collaborate closely with development, QA, and DevOps teams, offering mentorship and technical guidance.

- Participate in Agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, retrospectives) using tools like Jira.

- Engage in periodic client calls to provide technical insights and regular updates.

Automation & Optimization :

- Define and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform (nice to have).

- Contribute to GitOps workflows using tools like ArgoCD (nice to have).

- Evaluate and implement service mesh architectures (Istio, Linkerd) when required.

- Drive cloud cost optimization (FinOps), monitoring spend and ensuring cost-effective solutions.

- Participate in cloud architecture planning, focusing on security, performance, and resilience.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 5+ years of hands-on DevOps or SRE experience.

- Proficiency with AWS or GCP cloud environments.

- Production-level experience with Kubernetes.

- Expertise with Jenkins for CI/CD workflows.

- Strong skills in production debugging, observability, and incident management.

- Working knowledge of networking, VPC design, DNS, load balancing, and firewalls in the cloud.

- Solid understanding of Agile workflows, including experience with Jira.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to work closely with internal teams and external clients.

- Experience mentoring junior DevOps or cross-functional team members (QA, developers).

Nice to Have :

- Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools.

- Exposure to GitOps and ArgoCD.

- Familiarity with service meshes like Istio or Linkerd.

- Experience with FinOps or cost-optimization initiatives.

- Certifications : AWS/GCP Architect, DevOps Engineer, or Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD).
