About the Role

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Azure production environments, automation, CI/CD, and highly available systems. The role involves owning end-to-end infrastructure, ensuring reliability, scalability, and operational excellence across cloud and hybrid environments.

Mandatory Skills (Non-Negotiable) :

1. Azure Cloud (Production-Grade) :

- Independently deployed, operated, and stabilized live Azure workloads

- Strong hands-on with VMs, VNETs, NSGs, storage

- Proven ability to troubleshoot production issues and optimize for availability & cost

2. Highly Available & Fault-Tolerant Systems :

- Hands-on experience supporting HA / failover architectures

- Knowledge of load balancers, availability sets, failover strategies

- Exposure to architecture or design-level decisions is a plus

3. Automation & Scripting :

- Strong scripting using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Ruby

- Automation for deployments, monitoring, and operational tasks

- Ability to debug scripts in live production environments

4. Containers & Orchestration :

- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes / ECS

- Understanding of pod lifecycle, services, deployments, and cluster health

5. CI/CD Pipelines :

- Hands-on with Azure DevOps and/or Jenkins

- Experience with pipeline setup, build triggers, approvals, rollbacks

6. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) :

- Practical experience with PowerShell DSC, Ansible, or Chef

- Strong understanding of idempotency, configuration drift, environment consistency

- Ability to customize and troubleshoot IaC scripts

7. Configuration Management :

- Managing OS and application configurations using DSC / Ansible / Chef

- Enforcing configuration standards and debugging failed runs

8. On-Prem Active Directory & Infrastructure :

- Strong experience managing AD, Domain Controllers, users, groups, GPOs

- Exposure to on-prem servers, storage, networking

- Comfortable working in hybrid cloud + on-prem environments

9. Databases & SQL :

- Operational understanding of databases

- Ability to write and debug basic to intermediate SQL

- Experience with DB backups, permissions, and production issue support

10. Version Control :

- Strong hands-on with Git

- Branching, merging, conflict resolution, CI triggers (GitOps is a plus)

11. Operating Systems :

- Strong fundamentals in Linux & Windows

- OS-level troubleshooting, services, networking, patching, security

12. Backup, Recovery & DR :

- Experience designing and operating backup & recovery solutions

- Hands-on exposure to restore activities, DR drills, RPO/RTO
