Senior DevOps Engineer - AWS/Azure

The candidates are expected to have skills across the following :

Technical Expertise :

- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) - including infrastructure provisioning and cost optimization. [Primary : AWS].

- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.

- Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools - Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.

- Scripting and automation skills using Shell, Python, or similar.

- Monitoring, logging, and alerting tools - Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, Datadog, etc.

Security and Compliance :

- Exposure to DevSecOps practices.

- Handling of secrets and credentials (e. g. AWS Secrets Manager, HashiCorp Vault).

- Experience with audits, vulnerability scans, and security remediation.

Systems Reliability and Performance :

- Concepts of High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), and auto-scaling.

- Incident response, root cause analysis, and preventive measures.

- Experience with SRE principles or operating within an SLO/SLA framework.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management :

- Experience working closely with developers, QA, and product teams.

- Ability to mentor junior engineers and establish DevOps best practices.

- Communication skills to clearly articulate architecture, decisions, and trade-offs.

Problem Solving and Ownership :

- Ability to troubleshoot complex system issues independently.

- Examples of end-to-end ownership of DevOps pipelines or platform infrastructure.
