Designation/ Title : Senior DB Developer

Job Description : Highly skilled and experienced Senior Database Developer to design, develop, and optimize database solutions that support mission-critical applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in PL/SQL, SQL performance tuning, and experience working with Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL databases.

Role & Responsibilities :

- Design and implement complex database solutions including stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.

- Optimize SQL queries and database performance across Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.

- Collaborate with application developers to design efficient data models and integration strategies.

- Perform data analysis, migration, and transformation tasks.

- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with best practices.

- Monitor and troubleshoot database performance and availability issues.

- Develop and maintain ETL processes and data pipelines.

- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.

- Document database designs, schemas, and procedures.

Skill Set Required : Must-Have Skills :

- Strong proficiency in PL/SQL and SQL across Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.

- Experience with database design, normalization, and data modelling.

- Expertise in query optimization, indexing, and execution plans.

- Familiarity with procedural programming in different RDBMS environments.

- Hands-on experience with data migration, ETL tools, or custom scripts.

- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.

- Understanding of database security, backup, and recovery strategies.

Good-to-Have Skills :

- Experience with message brokers (Kafka)

- Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis)

- Familiarity with cloud-based databases (Snowflake, Azure SQL)

- Exposure to DevOps practices and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)

- Knowledge of data warehousing and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau),Working Knowledge in freight forwarding / consolidation and/or 3rd Party Logistics

Technical Skills Required : PL/SQL with Oracle, MySQL or PostgreSQL databases

ETL scripting (using tool-based like Inofrmatica or open source like Python)

Experience (Min ~ Max) : 6 to 9 Years

Education Required : Degree in Computer Science or related disciplines or equivalent work experience.

Required Language Skills : English language proficiency.
