Senior Database Administrator - PostgreSQL/MongoDB

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Database Administrator (DBA) with strong expertise in PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-grade database systems, ensuring high availability, performance, security, and scalability across all environments.

Key Responsibilities :

- Manage MySQL databases for optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.

- Plan and execute database upgrades, migrations, and patching activities.

- Implement and maintain robust backup, recovery, and disaster recovery (DR) strategies.

- Monitor and tune database performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks proactively.

- Develop and enforce database security policies, including access control and data encryption.

- Collaborate with development teams to optimize schema design and SQL query performance.

- Maintain detailed documentation for configurations, processes, and standard operating procedures.

- Perform regular backup restoration tests and ensure data integrity.

- Work effectively in a Linux-based environment and be available for on-call or shift-based support if required.

Qualifications & Experience :

- Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in Database Administration (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL).

- Proven experience in replication, clustering, backup, and recovery.

- Strong understanding of database tuning, performance optimization, and high availability.

- Good knowledge of Linux system administration and scripting.

- Familiarity with database security standards and best practices.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Relevant certifications in PostgreSQL or MongoDB are preferred.
