Role Overview :
We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist with strong hands-on experience in manufacturing analytics and machine learning applications within a plant or production environment.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the manufacturing domain, preferably from the alcoholic beverage industry or similar process manufacturing sectors, and will be skilled in building data-driven solutions to optimize production, improve yield, reduce downtime, and enhance overall operational efficiency.
Experience Range : 6 to 10 years of relevant experience in Data Science, with a focus on Manufacturing or Industrial domains.
Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with plant operations, process engineers, and quality teams to identify opportunities for data-driven improvement.
- Develop and deploy machine learning and statistical models to support predictive maintenance, process optimization, quality control, and energy efficiency.
- Analyze sensor, IoT, and process control data to identify patterns and anomalies impacting production performance.
- Build end-to-end data pipelines using Python, SQL, and cloud or on-prem data platforms.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement actionable insights to improve manufacturing KPIs such as throughput, yield, waste, and downtime.
- Create dashboards and visualizations for real-time plant analytics and decision support.
- Work cross-functionally with IT, manufacturing, and business stakeholders to integrate AI/ML solutions into production workflows.
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and governance across manufacturing data sources.
- Mentor junior data scientists and collaborate with data engineers for model deployment and monitoring.
Must Have Skills :
- Python (expert), NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn
- Regression, Classification, Clustering, Time Series Forecasting, Anomaly Detection
- Process optimization, SPC (Statistical Process Control), OEE analysis, Root cause analysis
- Hands-on understanding of plant operations, manufacturing KPIs, and production systems
- SQL, ETL, data wrangling from sensors and MES/SCADA systems
- Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent
