Hiring: Senior Data Scientist AI / Generative AI

We are hiring for our client in the Financial Services / Capital Markets industry for a Senior Data Scientist to join their Advanced Technology Group.

This is a senior-level opportunity for an experienced AI/ML professional with strong hands-on research and development experience, particularly in Generative AI and advanced machine learning.

Location: Lower Parel, Mumbai

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct advanced research and development in areas including Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision and Generative AI.

- Design, develop and implement sophisticated AI/ML models to address real-world business challenges in the financial services industry.

- Work with large and complex datasets to identify meaningful insights and support business decision-making.

- Conduct experiments to evaluate model performance and identify opportunities for optimisation and improvement.

- Work closely with data scientists, engineers, cross-functional teams and academic institutions to translate research into practical AI applications.

- Explore and apply emerging AI/ML techniques to solve complex problems.

- Contribute to research initiatives and, where applicable, publish research papers in reputed conferences and journals.

- Mentor junior data scientists and team members and contribute to building a strong culture of innovation and continuous learning.

Skills & Qualifications:

- 1015 years of hands-on experience in AI/ML research and development.

- Strong hands-on experience in Generative AI and advanced AI technologies.

- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field, with a strong focus on AI and Machine Learning.

- Deep understanding of Machine Learning algorithms and techniques, including:

1. Deep Learning

2. Reinforcement Learning

3. Statistical Learning

4. Natural Language Processing

5. Computer Vision

- Strong programming skills in Python, R or other relevant programming languages.

- Experience working with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark and SQL.

- Experience with one or more cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP or Azure.

- Strong research, analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

- Ability to work independently as well as effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Experience in the financial services industry and familiarity with financial industry concepts/regulations will be an advantage.

- Experience mentoring or managing junior team members is preferred.
