Job Overview

A leading telecommunications provider serving millions of customers is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join its Network Analytics team.

This role is critical to applying advanced analytics, machine learning, and graph/network techniques to enhance network security, optimize operational efficiency, and improve employee experience.

The ideal candidate will have a strong quantitative background, deep technical expertise in statistical modeling and machine learning, and the ability to translate complex analytic insights into actionable business outcomes.

The role involves managing the full analytics life cycle from data exploration and model development to productionalization and interpretation while collaborating across teams to integrate insights into operational systems. Expertise in Python, big data tools, and advanced analytics methodologies is essential.

Key Responsibilities :

- Execute advanced analytic techniques to enhance network security and operational efficiency, including anomaly detection, insider threat identification, and connectivity/latency issue analysis

- Build and deploy machine learning models, including exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, model development, evaluation, and productionalization

- Apply Graph/Network Analytics to understand relationships and patterns in complex datasets

- Interpret models for business stakeholders, including causality analysis, multicollinearity detection, and actionable insight generation

- Integrate data from diverse sources, including external APIs, relational databases, flat files, and distributed file systems

- Utilize Big Data tools, such as Spark, for scalable data processing and analytics

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate analytic products into production architectures

- Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders, providing guidance on analytic methods and tools

- Mentor and teach analytics techniques to colleagues, fostering knowledge sharing within the team

- Stay current with emerging technologies and analytic methods, including generative AI, and integrate relevant innovations into workflow

Required Skills & Experience :

Technical Skills :

- Advanced proficiency in Python (preferred), R, Matlab, and compiled languages such as Scala, Java, C++

- Strong foundation in quantitative analysis (model interpretation, causality, multicollinearity)

- Experience with Big Data tools (e.g., Spark), relational databases, and data architecture concepts (data warehouses, data marts)

- Expertise in Machine Learning, Graph/Network Analytics, and data preprocessing

- Experience with data exploration, problem formulation, and analytic prototyping
