Job Title : Senior Data Scientist

Location : Pune, Maharashtra

About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, data analysis, and end-to-end model development. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build intelligent solutions, derive insights from large datasets, and drive data-driven decision-making. This role requires strong analytical thinking, hands-on technical skills, and the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Machine Learning & Modeling :

- Develop, optimize, and deploy machine learning models using supervised, unsupervised, and semi-supervised learning techniques.

- Work on advanced analytical domains such as time series forecasting, natural language processing, pattern recognition, and predictive modeling.

- Perform model evaluation, validation, and performance tuning to ensure accuracy and scalability.

- Implement production-ready ML pipelines and reusable model components.

2. Data Analysis & Preparation :

- Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, correlations, and data quality issues.

- Perform data preprocessing, cleaning, feature engineering, and transformation to prepare datasets for modeling.

- Work with large structured and unstructured datasets using efficient data processing techniques.

3. Statistical Analysis & Insights :

- Apply statistical techniques to derive insights and guide business decisions.

- Design experiments, A/B testing strategies, and statistical evaluations.

- Use advanced data mining and mathematical approaches for deeper insight generation.

4. Technical Implementation & Automation :

- Build automation scripts and data workflows using Python and shell scripting.

- Develop scalable ML solutions using frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn.

- Utilize Linux environments for model development, deployment, and automation tasks.

5. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management :

- Work closely with engineering, product, and business teams to translate requirements into analytical solutions.

- Communicate findings, insights, and recommendations through clear presentations, dashboards, and reports.

- Collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams to support data-driven strategies across the organization.

6. Ownership & Leadership :

- Take complete ownership of projects from concept to deployment.

- Mentor junior team members and contribute to best practices, frameworks, and knowledge sharing.

- Demonstrate strong discipline, motivation, accountability, and urgency in delivering high-quality results.

Required Qualifications & Skills :

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.

Strong understanding of foundational and advanced machine learning techniques :

- Supervised and unsupervised learning

- Time series modeling

- Natural language processing

- Feature engineering

- Predictive modeling

Hands-on experience with major ML frameworks :

- TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn

Expertise in statistical analysis, data mining, and mathematical modeling.

Strong programming skills in Python and experience with shell scripting.

Good understanding of Linux operating systems.
