About the Role :
We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to drive advanced analytics and research initiatives supporting global real estate investment decisions.
This role sits at the intersection of data science, quantitative research, and investment strategy, with a strong focus on building scalable models and generating actionable insights for portfolio and risk management.
Key Responsibilities :
Technical & Research Leadership :
- Lead the development and deployment of statistical, machine learning, and AI models to support investment decision-making.
- Design and enhance forecasting and ranking models across global real estate markets.
- Extract meaningful insights from large, complex, and noisy datasets.
- Apply model outputs to risk assessment, scenario analysis, and portfolio optimization frameworks.
- Continuously evaluate and improve model performance through experimentation and backtesting.
Strategic Impact :
- Strengthen and evolve model architectures and research methodologies.
- Drive innovation by incorporating advanced ML, AI, and emerging techniques into existing workflows.
- Build and scale data pipelines, research platforms, and analytical systems.
- Translate complex quantitative insights into clear, actionable recommendations for global stakeholders.
- Lead high-impact projects with clear deliverables, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
Team Leadership & Collaboration :
- Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing data science team.
- Collaborate closely with investment, underwriting, and strategy teams to align analytics with business objectives.
- Partner with global teams to deliver consistent and scalable analytical solutions.
Required Qualifications & Experience :
- Masters or Ph.in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- 7+ years of experience in Data Science, Quantitative Research, or a related domain.
- Proven experience in building, improving, and maintaining forecasting models in production environments.
- Advanced proficiency in Python (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, etc.
- Strong experience with SQL and data engineering concepts.
- Demonstrated ability to productionize machine learning models and manage end-to-end pipelines.
- Strong communication skills with experience engaging senior stakeholders.
Preferred Experience :
- Prior experience in asset management, investment management, financial services, or real estate analytics.
- Exposure to risk modeling, portfolio optimization, or investment research workflows.
- Experience working with alternative or unstructured datasets.
- Familiarity with Generative AI and NLP applications in financial or research contexts.
Technical Expertise :
- Strong understanding of linear models, tree-based algorithms, and advanced ML techniques.
- Experience designing end-to-end analytical systems and scalable data pipelines.
- Knowledge of MLOps practices, model lifecycle management, and deployment frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Azure, Snowflake, and ETL/orchestration platforms
