About the Role :

V-Patrol AI is seeking a talented and driven Data Science Engineer to build, optimize, and deploy data intelligence systems that power our AI and cybersecurity product ecosystem.

You will work across machine learning, data engineering, automation pipelines, predictive modeling, and intelligence analytics, ensuring that data is transformed into actionable insights for mission-critical systems.

This role is ideal for someone who loves solving complex real-world problems with data, scalable engineering, and machine learning.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Data Engineering & Pipeline Development :

- Build and manage ETL/ELT pipelines, data ingestion systems, and preprocessing workflows.

- Work with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured datasets (Parquet, CSV, JSON, logs).

- Integrate and optimize data storage using AWS S3, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Redis, etc.

2. Machine Learning & Modeling :

- Build and train ML models for classification, clustering, anomaly detection, NLP, and predictive analytics.

- Implement model optimization, feature engineering, and hyperparameter tuning.

- Deploy ML services into production using FastAPI, Flask, and microservices.

3. Data Analysis & Intelligence :

- Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to find patterns, trends, and actionable insights.

- Create analytical frameworks for intelligence processing, threat analysis, or domain-specific decision models.

- Build dashboards and insights for internal teams and clients.

4. Large-Scale Data Systems :

- Work with distributed systems, indexing engines, and large datasets.

- Implement scalable ML workflows using Spark, Dask, Ray, or Airflow (preferred).

- Optimize model performance for real-time and large-scale applications.

5. Collaboration & Deployment :

- Collaborate with cybersecurity engineers, backend teams, intelligence analysts, and product managers.

- Prepare documentation, model reports, data dictionaries, and experiment logs.

- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and architectural planning.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Core Technical Skills :

- Strong experience in Python (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow optional).

- Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms and data science principles.

- Experience with backend/ML deployment using FastAPI or Flask.

- Strong SQL + NoSQL knowledge (MongoDB, PostgreSQL).

- Experience working with cloud services (AWS S3 preferred).

Data Engineering Skills :

- Experience with ETL pipelines and data modeling.

- Exposure to workflow tools (Airflow, Prefect, Dagster nice to have).

- Handling large datasets with Dask, PySpark, or Polars is a plus.

Analytical Skills :

- Ability to translate raw data into meaningful insights.

- Strong statistical knowledge and EDA capabilities.

- Comfort with visualization tools (Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly, Power BI/Tableau optional).

Preferred Qualifications :

- Bachelors/Masters in CS, Data Science, AI/ML, Statistics, Engineering, or related fields.

- Experience in cybersecurity, intelligence, or threat analytics is a strong plus.

- Familiarity with NLP, vector embeddings, or LLM-based models.

- Exposure to microservices, Docker, Kubernetes.
