Senior Data Science/AI Solutioning & Delivery Lead

Job Title : Senior Data Science / AI Solutioning & Delivery Lead.

Location : Pune.

Experience Required : 12+ years.

Role Overview :

The ideal candidate combines deep hands-on expertise in data science with proven leadership in solutioning, stakeholder management, and delivery execution.

This role will be pivotal in shaping AI solution strategy, architecting scalable models, leading high-performing teams, and ensuring successful delivery of business-impacting outcomes for global clients.

Key Responsibilities :

Solutioning & Strategy :

- Translate business challenges into well-defined problem statements and design end-to-end AI/ML solutions.

- Drive solution architecture, including data pipelines, model design, deployment, and MLOps.

- Evaluate emerging technologies (GenAI, Agentic AI, LLMs, CV, NLP, Predictive/Prescriptive models) for applicability in enterprise contexts.

Delivery Leadership :

- Oversee project scoping, planning, estimation, risk management, and stakeholder communication.

- Define and enforce best practices for model development, validation, deployment, and monitoring.

- Establish governance frameworks for AI projects (responsible AI, compliance, explainability).

People & Team Leadership :

- Scale teams dynamically to support diverse delivery models (staff augmentation, managed services, full outsourcing).

- Encourage cross-functional collaboration with data engineering, product, and technology teams.

Hands-on Expertise :

- Work with large, complex datasets and apply ML/AI techniques for classification, regression, forecasting, NLP, and computer vision.

- Demonstrate strong proficiency in Python, R, SQL, ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and modern MLOps practices.

Qualifications & Skills :

Experience :

- 12+ years in data science/AI with at least 4- 5 years in leadership roles.

- Proven record of delivering AI/ML solutions at scale in enterprise or consulting environments.

- Strong expertise in solutioning and pre-sales support (building POVs, proposals, estimations).

- Hands-on coding, model building, and deployment expertise with end-to-end ownership.

- Excellent problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

- Exposure to multiple industries (supply chain, financial services, healthcare, retail, high-tech, etc.) preferred.

- Understanding of ethical AI, data privacy, and compliance regulations.
