We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Architect to lead the design and development of conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise and application-level databases.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in data modeling, data warehousing, and data governance, with expertise in cloud environments, Databricks, and Unity Catalog.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of business processes around master data management in a B2B setup and experience with data governance and data quality concepts.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise and application-level databases

- Translate business requirements into well-structured data models that support analytics, reporting, and operational systems

- Define and maintain data standards, naming conventions, and metadata for consistency across systems

- Collaborate with data architects, engineers, and analysts to implement models into databases and data warehouses/lakes

- Analyze existing data systems and provide recommendations for optimization, refactoring, and improvements

- Create entity relationship diagrams (ERDs) and data flow diagrams to document data structures and relationships

- Support data governance initiatives including data lineage, quality, and cataloging

- Review and validate data models with business and technical stakeholders

- Provide guidance on normalization, denormalization, and performance tuning of database designs

- Architect end-to-end data pipelines, data integration frameworks, and data governance models to enable seamless flow of structured and unstructured data from multiple sources (cloud and on-premise)

- Ensure models comply with organizational data policies, security, and regulatory requirements

Requirements :

- 12+ years of experience in data modeling, data warehousing, and data governance

- Strong understanding of business processes around master data management in a B2B setup

- Strong Experience with Databricks, Unity Catalog, and cloud environments (Preferable Azure) is must.

- Background in data governance and data quality concepts

- Strong understanding of data normalization, denormalization, dimensional modeling, warehousing

concepts, and schema design

- Hands-on experience with data modeling tools such as ERwin

- Experienced in data profiling, data sampling, and data conversion exercises

- Experience in Agile or Scrum environments

- Strong skills in integration, databases, data warehouses, and data processing

- Extensive experience in contributing to blueprinting, design workshops, and requirements gathering activities

- Experience and track record of success selling data and/or analytics software to enterprise customers

- Strong hands-on technical background in Big Data, streaming platforms, Databricks, Snowflake, Redshift, Spark, Kafka, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and modern BI tools

- Demonstrated ability to design and scale data pipelines and architectures in large, complex environments

- Excellent soft skills including leadership, client communication, and stakeholder management.
