Role Overview :
As a Senior Data Modeler, you will serve as the architectural backbone for our data-driven initiatives, translating complex business requirements into robust, scalable data structures.
You will work closely with data engineers, business analysts, and product stakeholders to design and maintain high-performance data models that power critical decision-making processes.
By bridging the gap between raw data and actionable insights, you will directly influence the efficiency of our data pipelines and the accuracy of our enterprise-wide reporting, ensuring that our infrastructure remains agile and optimized for future growth across our global operations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Architect and implement sophisticated dimensional models to support enterprise-level reporting and analytics, ensuring high data integrity and query performance for end-users.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate ambiguous business needs into precise technical specifications, facilitating seamless data integration across diverse platforms.
- Optimize existing data schemas within cloud environments to reduce latency and improve storage efficiency, directly impacting the speed of business intelligence delivery.
- Establish and enforce data governance standards and modeling best practices to maintain a single source of truth across the organization.
- Mentor junior team members and conduct rigorous design reviews to ensure all data solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with long-term architectural goals.
Required Skillset :
- Demonstrated expertise in designing complex data models, including deep proficiency in dimensional modeling techniques such as Star and Snowflake schemas.
- Proven ability to architect data solutions within cloud-native environments, leveraging modern cloud data warehouses to handle large-scale datasets.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate technical data strategies to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a track record of collaborating in distributed, remote, or hybrid team environments across multiple time zones.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field, supported by 7 to 11 years of hands-on experience in data modeling and architecture.
- High level of adaptability and comfort working in fast-paced, evolving environments where you can independently drive projects from conceptualization to deployment.
