Senior Data Loss Prevention Engineer - Information Security

About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Engineer to design, implement, and maintain enterprise-wide DLP solutions. The role involves managing DLP tools, creating policies to prevent data leakage, and ensuring compliance with organizational data security standards.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, implement, and maintain DLP solutions and policies across the organization.

- Fine-tune DLP rules to minimize false positives and improve detection accuracy.

- Provide expert guidance on data leakage policy development and compliance.

- Administer DLP tools, including policy configuration, upgrades, patching, and maintenance.

- Monitor, analyze, and respond to alerts generated from DLP and related systems.

- Troubleshoot DLP-related issues and ensure timely resolution.

- Collaborate with business and IT teams to identify, classify, and secure critical data assets.

- Participate in incident response and escalation processes related to data breaches or data loss.

- Maintain comprehensive documentation, including procedures, configurations, and issue resolutions.

- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance DLP accuracy and coverage.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.

- 10-15 years of hands-on experience in DLP engineering, administration, or implementation.

- Strong understanding of DLP technologies (Endpoint, Discover, Web, and Email).

- Experience with Data Flow Analysis (DFA) and implementing DLP programs from scratch.

- Familiarity with network architecture, data classification, and information protection controls.

- Ability to define and monitor metrics and SLAs for DLP performance.

- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills.

- Certifications in Cybersecurity or DLP tools (e.g., Symantec, Forcepoint, McAfee, Digital Guardian) will be an advantage.
