Senior Data Governance Consultant

Title : Senior Data Governance

Experience : 7+ Years

Work Location : Bangalore/Chennai

Notice Period : Immediate to 30 - 40 Days Max only

Job Overview :

- Establish frameworks for Data Governance, Data Lineage, Data Quality, Data Privacy, and Metadata Management.

- Work with clients to identify business requirements and translate them into technical and functional solutions for managing data assets.

- Collaborate with business and technical teams to define data ownership, stewardship models, and governance policies.

- Conduct workshops and stakeholder interviews to understand current data landscape, pain points, and future goals.

- Provide subject matter expertise in Data Management practices and tools.

- Support the design and execution of Data Quality assessments, audits, and monitoring processes.

- Partner with Analytics and AI teams to ensure ethical and responsible use of data, and contribute to AI operationalization and governance.

- Define and enforce best practices for data handling, ensuring regulatory compliance and operational integrity.

- Participate in pre-sales discussions, solutioning, and client onboarding as a senior consultant.

- Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives within the organization.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Metadata Management

- Master Data Management (MDM)

- Data Privacy & Security Regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)

Exposure to Analytics & AI concepts, including but not limited to :

- Business Intelligence

- MLOps

- AI development lifecycle

- Data & AI Ethics

Data Analysis :

- Experience working in multi-client consulting environments, with strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.

- Ability to work in cross-functional teams and manage complex data governance programs end-to-end.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Knowledge of data governance tools like Collibra, Informatica Axon, Alation, or Talend.

- Exposure to cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data architecture principles.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
