Job Description
Job Title : Senior Data Engineer (Tableau + Real Estate)
Experience : 5+ year's
Location : pune/bangalore/mumbai/gurgaon
Shift Time : New York (EST hours)
Overview : Seeking 12 exceptional senior data engineers to own end-to-end data engineering and analytics for the New York team. Role reports to the Data Lead (NYC). Focus on building and maintaining robust data pipelines and delivering high-quality Tableau analytics for real estate use cases.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and workflows (e.g., Airflow)
- Model, transform, and maintain datasets, tables, and files for analytics and operations
- Develop, optimize, and govern Tableau dashboards, data sources, and extracts
- Ensure data quality, lineage, documentation, and reliability across systems
- Integrate third-party real estate data sources and APIs into the warehouse
- Partner with the Data Lead and stakeholders to translate requirements into data products
- Own performance tuning, cost efficiency, and monitoring for data jobs
- Support knowledge transfer and collaborate across time zones as needed
Required Skills & Experience :
- Expert-level Tableau (calcs, LODs, data modeling, performance optimization, governance)
- Strong data engineering : ETL/ELT, orchestration (Airflow), transformations, maintenance
- Advanced SQL and at least one programming language (Python preferred)
- Experience with data warehousing/lakehouse (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks) and
version control (Git)
- Proven attention to detail; delivers high-quality, accurate analytics
- Operates independently with strong problem-solving and fast learning aptitude
- Comfortable working EST hours
- Preferred (Real Estate Domain)
Real Estate Domain :
- Understanding of real estate data structures and workflows
- Experience with property management systems and CRE data : Yardi, RealPage, CoStar, Reonomy,
LoopNet, Crexi, ATTOM, Cherre, CompStak, Buildout, CoreLogic, Melissa, Zillow/Redfin/Realtor.com
- Familiarity with APIs and data ingestion from external CRE sources
Nice to Have :
- dbt or similar transformation frameworks
- CI/CD for data, testing frameworks, data catalog/lineage tools
- Tableau Server/Cloud administration
- Experience with API design/consumption and microservices
