Job Title : Senior Data Engineer (Snowflake & DBT)

Job Summary :

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in Snowflake and DBT (production support) to join our growing data team at. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building scalable data pipelines, implementing modern data architectures (Medallion/Matillion/Snowflake), and owning projects end-to-end from design to delivery. You will play a critical role in developing high-performance data platforms, ensuring data quality, and driving data-driven decision-making while collaborating with cross-functional teams and clients.

Must Have Skills :

- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake and DBT in production support

- End-to-end Project Ownership (from scratch to delivery)

- Experience with Python, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and Data Modelling

- Knowledge of modern Data Architecture (Medallion / Matillion / Snowflake)

- Strong proficiency in SQL and cloud platforms

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and implement scalable, modular ELT pipelines using DBT on Snowflake

- Design layered data models (staging, intermediate, marts) using Medallion architecture

- Lead ingestion of structured and semi-structured data from APIs, flat files, and cloud storage (Azure Data Lake, AWS S3)

- Optimize Snowflake performance (query tuning, clustering, warehouse sizing, cost optimization)

- Utilize advanced DBT features such as macros, packages, testing, and documentation

- Orchestrate workflows using DBT Cloud, Airflow, or Azure Data Factory with CI/CD integration

- Implement and enforce data governance practices (RBAC, encryption, secure sharing)

- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions

- Mentor junior engineers and lead code reviews and architectural discussions

- Manage client interactions, requirement gathering, and end-to-end delivery in a consulting environment

Required Qualifications :

- 5 to 8 years of experience in Data Engineering

- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake and DBT in production environments

- Strong expertise in Cloud, SQL, Python, Data Modelling, and ADF

- Experience in Data Governance, Architecture, and Production Support

Education & Certifications :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field

Mandatory Certifications :

- Snowflake SnowPro Advanced

- DBT Certified Developer
