Senior Data Engineer - SaaS Platform

Requirements :

- Bachelors/Masters in CS, IT, Engineering, or related field

- 7 to 10 years in Data Engineering

- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake

- Experience integrating SaaS platforms via APIs

- Advanced SQL + strong data modeling knowledge

- Proficiency in Python for data pipelines

- Cloud experience (Azure preferred | AWS/GCP acceptable)

- Experience with dbt / Azure Data Factory / similar tools

- Strong problem-solving & ownership mindset

- ? Excellent communication skills

Key Responsibilities :

- SaaS Data Ingestion & Integration (Primary Focus)

Build and maintain ingestion pipelines from platforms like :

- Salesforce (CRM)

- NetSuite (Finance)

- Marketo, 6sense, Gong (Marketing/RevOps)

- SharePoint (files & metadata)

Develop API-based ingestion frameworks handling :

- Authentication & authorization

- Pagination, rate limits, retries

- Incremental loads & historical tracking

- Schema evolution

Snowflake Data Engineering :

- Design scalable ELT pipelines in Snowflake

- Write optimized SQL for complex transformations

- Manage data layers: Raw ? Staging ? Curated

- Optimize performance, storage, and cost efficiency

- Data Modeling & Analytics

Build analytical models :

- Fact & dimension tables

- Star & Snowflake schemas

- SCD Type 1 & Type 2

- Enable reporting, dashboards, and research analytics

- Collaborate with analytics teams for data readiness

Platform Ownership & Governance :

- Ensure pipeline reliability (monitoring, alerting, recovery)

- Implement data quality checks (accuracy, freshness)

Manage :

- RBAC (Role-Based Access Control)

- Dev/Test/Prod environments

- Handle sensitive data (HR/Finance PII compliance)

Collaboration & Best Practices :

- Work with cross-functional teams (Product, Analytics, Tech)

- Contribute to data architecture decisions

- Maintain documentation and data lineage

- Follow modern practices: Git, CI/CD, version control
