Role Overview :

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in data pipelining, data processing, and backend web development using Python and Django.

This role will own end-to-end data pipelines while also contributing to data-driven backend services and APIs that support product and analytics use cases.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, build, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines (ETL/ELT), including ingestion, transformation, processing, and delivery

- Develop and optimize data processing workflows for large structured and semi-structured datasets

- Build and maintain batch and near real-time pipelines

- Implement data transformation logic, validations, and quality checks

- Design and manage data warehouses and data models

- Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Python and Django

- Integrate data pipelines with product systems, internal tools, and APIs

- Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability of data and backend systems

- Ensure data security, access control, and governance aligned with SOC 2 and healthcare compliance requirements

- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues across data pipelines and backend services

- Document architecture, pipelines, and backend workflows

- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to architectural decisions

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Backend Engineering

- Strong hands-on experience with data pipelining and data processing

- Excellent proficiency in Python

- Strong experience with Django (backend development, APIs, services)

- Advanced SQL skills
