Senior Data Engineer - Google Cloud Platform

Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in GCP, BigQuery, and Apache Airflow, along with solid programming skills in Python or Java.

You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions on Google Cloud Platform.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines on GCP

- Build and optimize data models and datasets using BigQuery

- Orchestrate workflows and pipelines using Apache Airflow

- Develop data processing solutions using Python or Java

- Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance across data systems

- Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders

- Troubleshoot production issues and optimize existing data workflows

- Follow best practices for data engineering, security, and cloud cost optimization

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering

- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

- Expertise in BigQuery (query optimization, partitioning, clustering)

- Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration

- Strong programming skills in Python or Java

- Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and large-scale data processing

- Good understanding of data warehousing concepts and cloud architectures

- Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Good to Have :

- Experience with other GCP services (Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Dataflow)

- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
