Job Summary :

Azure Big Data Engineer role involves building scalable data ingestion pipelines for batch and streaming datasets using Azure technologies like ADF, PySpark, and Databricks.

Requires 4 to 9 years IT experience, including 2+ years in big data engineering on Azure. Focuses on data processing, orchestration, collaboration with data science and app dev teams, and delivering analytics solutions.

Job Description :

- Design and build metadata-driven data ingestion pipelines for structured/unstructured data, including harmonization and high-performance processing.

- Schedule, orchestrate, validate pipelines; handle exceptions, log monitoring, and debugging for reliable operations.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to ideate on tech stacks, meet deadlines, and support BI/data science teams with secure data access.

Profile Summary :

- Mandatory skills : Azure Data Factory (ADF), PySpark, Databricks, ADLS, Azure SQL Database; strong coding/debugging in SQL, Python, Scala/Java.

- Experience with big data tools like Hadoop, Spark, Airflow, NiFi, Kafka, Hive, Neo4J, Elastic Search; file formats (Delta Lake, Avro, Parquet, JSON, CSV).

- Preferred : Azure Synapse, Event Hub, Streaming Analytics, Cosmos DB, Purview; Agile/DevOps (Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps); Data Lake/Lakehouse projects, REST APIs.

- Certifications : Data Engineering on Microsoft Azure (DP-203) or Databricks Certified Developer (DE)
