The Role :

The successful applicants primary role is to lead the design and implementation of scalable database solutions, data models, and ETL pipelines to support business-critical analytics and operations.

Manage and mentor a small team of data analysts, ensuring high standards of data quality, integrity, security, and performance.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to integrate data from multiple sources, develop robust database objects and workflows, and deliver data solutions that align with business objectives and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement scalable data architectures, database solutions, and data models to support business and analytics requirements.

- Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and Azure Data Factory (ADF), ensuring reliable and efficient data integration.

- Develop and optimize database objects, including stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers, to ensure performance and data integrity.

- Manage data ingestion, transformation, quality, governance, security, and compliance across multiple data sources.

- Lead data engineering initiatives, supporting data warehousing, reporting, and operational analytics platforms.

- Mentor junior team members, provide technical guidance, and resolve complex data-related challenges.

- Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, vendors, and data providers to deliver scalable, high-quality data solutions aligned with business objectives.

- Manage a team of 2 to 3 junior data analysts and provide technical mentorship to junior team members and troubleshoot data-related blockers.

Skills & Experience :

- Strong experience in database architecture, data engineering, and the Microsoft technology stack.

- Expertise in SQL Server, including database design, performance tuning, query optimization, and security.

- Hands-on experience developing ETL solutions using SSIS, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and Python.
