Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our team in Navi Mumbai. This role is ideal for a proactive individual with a strong background in data engineering, a keen eye for detail, and excellent leadership potential. You will play a crucial role in developing and optimizing our data infrastructure, contributing to the operational excellence of our Core Finance Platform.

Key Responsibilities :

- Data Unit Testing : Implement and execute comprehensive data unit tests to ensure data integrity and quality.

- Performance Optimization : Analyze, tune, and optimize database performance, implementing solutions for efficiency and responsiveness.

- SQL Expertise : Utilize strong SQL language skills for complex data manipulation, querying, and analysis.

- Job Scheduling : Work with Control-M for scheduling and monitoring data-related jobs.

- Operational Support : Potentially provide operational support, leveraging your experience in a similar environment.

- Team Leadership : Lead and mentor team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.

- Stakeholder Engagement : Effectively communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills.

- Problem-Solving : Apply strong solution analysis and problem-solving skills to address complex data challenges.

- SDLC Knowledge : Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

- Reporting Solutions : (Advantageous) Develop reporting solutions using tools like PowerBI.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Experience : 3-5 years of experience in a data engineering role, with 2 years in an operational support role being beneficial.

- Team Leadership : Proven experience in a team lead capacity.

Technical Proficiency :

- Experience with data unit testing.

- Experience developing databases and data warehouses.

- Familiarity with Control-M.

- Understanding and implementation of database performance optimization, tuning, analysis, and specification.
