Role Overview :

We're looking for a Senior Data Analyst who thrives on automating away manual work, not just reporting on it. This role sits at the intersection of data analytics and process automation you'll use SQL, Python, Excel, and AI tools to clean unstructured/uncleaned data, mine it for insight, and build self-sustaining reporting pipelines. Prior exposure to Tax, GST, or Travel industry data is a strong plus given our domain.

Key Responsibilities :

- Clean, structure, and validate large volumes of unstructured and uncleaned data.

- Automate recurring data cleaning, validation, and reporting workflows using SQL and Python.

- Perform data mining and deep-dive analysis to surface trends, anomalies, and business insights across revenue, operations, and customer behavior.

- Apply AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) to accelerate data cleaning, pattern detection, and analysis.

- Build, maintain, and optimize dashboards, KPI frameworks, and reporting systems.

- Develop and optimize SQL-based data models, queries, and workflows.

- Reconcile data across multiple, inconsistent source formats (PDFs, scanned documents, spreadsheets, APIs).

- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, growth, and leadership teams to support decision-making.

- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across all reporting systems.

Requirements:

1. Required Skills & Qualifications:

- 37 years of experience as a Data Analyst / Senior Data Analyst (startup experience preferred).

- Strong expertise in SQL (advanced joins, aggregations, window functions, query optimization).

- Strong proficiency in Python for data cleaning, mining, scripting, and automation.

- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, macros/VBA a plus).

- Hands-on experience with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) for accelerating data work.

- Demonstrated ability to work with messy, unstructured/uncleaned datasets and bring structure to them.

- Proven experience building report automation workflows that reduce manual effort.

- Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Zoho Analytics, or similar.

- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and fast-learner mindset.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

2. Preferred (Good to Have):

- Prior experience in Tax, GST, or compliance-related data environments.

- Prior experience in the Travel industry (GDS/OTA/TMC data, invoices, expense/travel management).

- Familiarity with OCR/data extraction tools for unstructured document data.
