Job Summary :

We are seeking a proactive and technically adept Senior Data Analyst with 5 to 8 years of experience to lead our video data management and model evaluation initiatives.

This is a "hands-on" leadership role where you will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of high-volume video datasetsfrom structured cataloging and metadata management to building the automation tools that power our ML pipelines.

The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between raw data and high-performing models, ensuring that our evaluation metrics are accurate and our data handling is streamlined.

You will also lead and mentor a small team of up to 3 members to ensure quality and timely delivery across all data-related activities.

Key Responsibilities :

Video Data Cataloging & Metadata Management :

- Maintain highly structured catalogs of large-scale video data, ensuring consistent labeling conventions and comprehensive metadata tagging.

- Design and implement versioning strategies for datasets to allow for reproducible model development and comparative testing.

Automation & Tooling :

- Architect and develop internal automation tools (using Python/SQL) to handle data ingestion, automated quality checks, and performance reporting.

- Optimize data pipelines to minimize manual intervention and support rapid model iteration cycles.

Model Performance Evaluation :

- Implement and manage evaluation pipelines to calculate critical model metrics, including Accuracy, Precision, Recall, F1-Score, and mAP (mean Average Precision) for video-based models.

- Generate detailed performance reports that provide actionable insights for ML engineers to tune and validate model parameters.

Leadership & Team Management :

- Lead, mentor, and oversee a small team of data analysts/associates, managing their daily workflows and maintaining high quality standards.

- Coordinate cross-functionally with ML Engineers, QA, and Product stakeholders to align data strategies with business goals.

Quality Assurance & Lifecycle Management :

- Implement data validation protocols to ensure the integrity of video annotations and metadata across all development stages.

- Maintain detailed documentation of data flows, annotation guidelines, and evaluation methodologies.

Required Technical Skills :

- Data Analysis & Processing : Expert-level proficiency in Python, specifically with data science libraries like Pandas and NumPy.

- Database Management : Strong command of SQL for querying complex datasets and managing data relationships.

- Video/Image Domain Knowledge : Hands-on experience with video-based data, including familiarity with annotation formats (e.g., COCO, Pascal VOC) and video codecs.

- Metric Computation : Deep understanding of statistical evaluation techniques used in computer vision and machine learning.

- Tooling : Proficiency in building automation scripts and using Excel for advanced reporting and data visualization.
