About the Role :

Remote, India - Long-Term Contract

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Analyst with strong expertise in data analysis, data quality, reconciliation, and reporting within the banking and payments domain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing business and operational data, translating data requirements into actionable insights, and supporting data-driven decision-making across payment processes.

Key Responsibilities :

- Analyze business and operational data related to banking and payment transactions to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.

- Gather and define data requirements in collaboration with business, operations, and technology stakeholders.

- Perform data profiling, validation, and quality checks to identify inconsistencies, gaps, and anomalies.

- Develop and maintain source-to-target mappings for data integration and reporting requirements.

- Perform data reconciliation across payment systems and identify discrepancies between source and target systems.

- Analyze payment transactions and investigate exceptions, anomalies, and data quality issues.

- Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytical outputs to support business and operational teams.

- Work with technical teams to understand data sources, structures, transformations, and data flows.

- Support data-related testing, validation, and issue resolution during implementation and system changes.

- Document data definitions, business rules, mappings, validation requirements, and analytical findings.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data accuracy, reporting efficiency, and payment-related processes.

- Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support operational and business objectives.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Strong understanding of data quality, reconciliation, and data validation processes.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

- Ability to work effectively with business, operations, and technology teams
