Senior Consultant - SQL Server

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries and PL/SQL blocks, demonstrating expertise in Oracle architecture (preferably Oracle 18/19C).

- Apply advanced database concepts including partitioning, various indexing mechanisms, and performance tuning techniques to enhance query and stored procedure performance. Utilize and understand how Oracle SQL Tuning Advisor works.

- Develop and maintain robust ETL processes using ETL tools, with a strong preference for Informatica.

- Design and implement solutions on cloud platforms, specifically leveraging AWS services and Kubernetes.

- Write efficient and maintainable Python code for data processing, automation, and integration tasks.

- Apply data modeling principles and utilize data modeling tools (e.g., ER Studio) for effective database design.

- Demonstrate a good understanding of Big Data concepts and NoSQL databases.

- Utilize source code management tools such as Bitbucket or GIT for version control and collaborative development.

- Debug and resolve complex technical issues related to database performance, ETL processes, and cloud deployments.

- Work collaboratively within an agile environment, and document technical designs, processes, and solutions effectively.

- Continuously identify opportunities to improvise the performance of SQL queries, stored procedures, and overall data architecture.

Essential Skills / Experience :

- 6-7 years of relevant professional experience in a similar role.

- Hands-on experience with Oracle architecture, preferably Oracle 18/19C.

- Proven expertise in writing complex SQL queries and highly optimized PL/SQL blocks.

- Strong command of partitioning, various indexing mechanisms, and other advanced database concepts.

- Experience using source code management tools like Bitbucket/GIT.

- Hands-on experience with any ETL tool, preferably Informatica.

- Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS and Kubernetes.

- Hands-on experience in Python programming.

- Experience with data modeling tools (e.g., ER Studio).

- Good understanding of Big Data and NoSQL concepts.

- Strong understanding of how to improvise the performance of SQL queries, stored procedures, etc.

- Understanding of how Oracle SQL Tuning Advisor works.

- Ability to think laterally, with an enquiring mind and strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
