Job Overview :

We are seeking a Senior Consultant II to join our Regulatory Reporting team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader with strong experience in data engineering and regulatory reporting solutions, capable of leading a small development team while owning end-to-end solution design, client engagement, and delivery excellence. This role blends deep technical expertise, team leadership, and client-facing responsibility to deliver high-quality, compliant, and scalable solutions in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Technical Leadership & Delivery :

- Lead and manage a small team of developers, tracking progress to ensure on-time and high-quality delivery.

- Provide technical guidance, mentor junior team members, and enforce coding standards and best practices.

- Actively contribute to hands-on development, code reviews, and system optimization.

Client Engagement & Solution Design :

- Engage directly with clients for requirement gathering, analysis, and solution design.

- Translate business and regulatory requirements into scalable technical architectures and specifications.

- Participate in solution walkthroughs, design discussions, and delivery reviews with client stakeholders.

Data Engineering & Development :

- Design, develop, and optimize data engineering and ETL pipelines.

- Work on large-scale data processing, transformations, and reporting workflows.

- Build quick POCs to support innovation and solution validation.

Documentation & Quality :

- Prepare and maintain technical design documents, data flow diagrams, and solution artifacts.

- Proactively troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production and performance issues.

- Ensure solutions adhere to internal quality standards and regulatory reporting requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Experience : 5- 8 years of software development experience with demonstrated leadership exposure. Prior experience in consulting, financial services, or regulatory environments is preferred.

Technical Skills :

- Strong proficiency in SQL & PL/SQL

- Python Apache Spark

- Informatica UNIX / Shell scripting

- Data Warehousing (DWH) concepts

- Hands-on experience with Data engineering projects ETL design and optimization Large datasets and performance tuning

- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Soft Skills :

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Strong stakeholder and client management capabilities.

- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

- Ownership mindset with attention to detail and delivery excellence.

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills :
