Role Summary :

We are looking for a Senior Developer with deep, hands-on expertise in Dotmatics. You will work with global biopharma clients to translate scientific workflows into robust Dotmatics solutions, covering requirements analysis, configuration, customization, integration, upgrades and go-live. Experience with Benchling or other ELN/LIMS platforms is a strong advantage. This is a client-facing, delivery-focused role within our Scientific Informatics practice.

Key Responsibilities :

- Configure and implement Dotmatics to meet client scientific and business workflows.

- Support delivery on adjacent ELN/LIMS platforms (Benchling, Revvity Signals, LabVantage, LabWare) where client programmes require it.

- Gather and analyze user requirements from scientists, lab managers, and IT stakeholders; translate them into functional and technical designs.

- Develop customizations, scripts, and extensions using platform-specific toolkits and APIs (for example Dotmatics scripting and REST APIs, Benchling API/Apps).

- Build and maintain integrations with laboratory instruments, and with enterprise systems such as SAP, CDS, SDMS, registration systems, and data lakes.

- Design and execute data migration from legacy systems into the target ELN/LIMS.

- Support computer system validation (CSV) activities and produce documentation aligned to GxP, GAMP 5, and 21 CFR Part 11 requirements.

- Mentor junior developers, review deliverables, and contribute to best practices, accelerators, and reusable assets within the Lab Informatics practice.

- Work directly with client teams across time zones, providing status reporting and demos to project stakeholders.

Required Qualifications and Skills :

- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or a related discipline.

- 8 - 10 years of overall experience, with at least 5 years hands-on configuring, customizing, and implementing Dotmatics in client or enterprise environments.

- Strong programming/scripting skills relevant to the platform (for example Python, Java, Groovy, JavaScript/TypeScript, or LIMS Basic).

- Hands-on experience with REST APIs, JSON/XML, and integration patterns for lab and enterprise systems.

- Solid understanding of laboratory workflows in R&D or QC environments (sample management, test execution, results capture, stability, batch release, or research data capture).

- Working knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL) and SQL.

- Excellent communication skills and a track record of working directly with scientists and global client stakeholders.

Preferred / Nice to Have :

- Hands-on experience with Benchling (configuration, Benchling Apps, or API integrations) alongside Dotmatics.

- Working knowledge of other ELN/LIMS platforms (Revvity Signals, LabVantage, LabWare) or adjacent systems such as SDMS, CDS (Empower, Chromeleon), or scientific data platforms.

- Cloud experience (AWS or Azure), including deployment and DevOps practices for SaaS or hosted lab informatics solutions.

- Platform certifications or vendor training (for example Dotmatics, Benchling ecosystem certified professional).

- Experience with agile delivery, Jira/Confluence, and CI/CD pipelines.

- Prior consulting or services-delivery experience in life sciences.
