Senior Cloud Network Automation Engineer - Azure/GCP

Key Responsibilities :

1. Automation Framework Development :

- Design, develop, and implement automation workflows using Ansible and Terraform to manage cloud networking resources in Azure and GCP .

- Create reusable modules, playbooks, and templates to standardize network provisioning, configuration, and monitoring processes.

2. Cloud Networking Architecture :

- Collaborate with cloud architects to design scalable, secure, and high-performance networking solutions for multi-cloud environmens

- Automate the deployment and management of Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), subnets, firewalls, load balancers, DNS, and routing configurations.

3. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) :

- Write and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts to automate the provisioning and lifecycle management of cloud resources.

- Ensure compliance with company policies, security standards, and industry best practices.

4. CI/CD Integration :

- Integrate automation tools with CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous delivery of network changes.

- Implement version control and testing strategies to ensure code quality and reliability.

5. Troubleshooting and Optimization :

- Monitor and troubleshoot automated workflows to identify and resolve issues quickly.

- Optimize existing automation processes to improve performance and reduce operational overhead.

6. Collaboration and Mentorship :

- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, security, and application development, to align automation efforts with business goals.

- Mentor junior engineers and share expertise to build a culture of automation excellence.

7. Documentation and Reporting :

- Maintain comprehensive documentation for all automation workflows, scripts, and processes.

- Provide regular updates and reports on automation progress, challenges, and outcomes.

Required Qualifications :

- Education : Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Masters degree preferred).

- Experience :

- 5+ years of experience in cloud automation, with a focus on Azure and GCP environments.

- Proven expertise in using Ansible and Terraform for automating cloud infrastructure.

- Hands-on experience with cloud networking concepts such as VPCs, subnets, firewalls, NAT gateways, and load balancers.

Technical Skills :

- Proficiency in writing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible.

- Strong understanding of Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates and GCP Deployment Manager.

- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.

- Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

- Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS) and security best practices.

Certifications (Preferred) :

- Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-900, AZ-104, AZ-305).

- Google Cloud certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Cloud Network Engineer).

- HashiCorp Certified : Terraform Associate.

Desired Qualifications :

- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and service mesh architectures.

- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Stackdriver.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
