Senior Cloud Engineer - Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and deploy robust, scalable, and secure cloud solutions on OCI.

- Lead cloud migration initiatives, including assessment, planning, and execution.

- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or OCI Resource Manager.

- Manage and optimize OCI services including Compute, Networking, Storage, Load Balancers, and Identity & Access Management (IAM).

- Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies are in place and regularly tested.

- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal resource utilization.

- Implement and enforce cloud security best practices, compliance standards, and governance policies.

- Automate operational processes and deployments using CI/CD pipelines.

- Collaborate with development, DevOps, and security teams to streamline cloud adoption and integration.

- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior engineers.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with strong hands-on experience in OCI.

- Proficiency in cloud architecture design and deployment strategies.

- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).

- Strong understanding of networking concepts (VCN, subnets, gateways, routing, DNS).

- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes (OKE preferred).

- Knowledge of scripting languages like Python, Bash, or Shell scripting.

- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.

- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications :

- OCI certifications (e.g., OCI Architect Professional).

- Experience in multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.

- Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards.

- Exposure to monitoring tools and logging frameworks.
