Profile Overview :

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Cloud & Kubernetes Architect with deep expertise across Linux/Unix systems, public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP), Kubernetes, DevOps, and distributed systems.

The ideal candidate will bring strong architectural vision, hands-on technical excellence, and the ability to design, build, and optimize large-scale, multi-cloud SaaS environments.

This role involves end-to-end ownership of cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes platform design, observability systems, networking architecture, and DevOps/SRE practices.

Roles and Responsibilities :

- Collaborate with integrated, cross-functional teams to deliver scalable SaaS solutions across AWS, Azure, GCP, and VMware private cloud environments.

- Architect, deploy, and manage cloud systems including compute, storage, and network infrastructure.

- Establish and maintain Kubernetes (K8s) configuration standards, best practices, and operational guidelines.

- Design and implement well-architected Kubernetes solutions that scale efficiently at both infrastructure and pod levels.

- Build comprehensive observability systems using open-source or commercial tools, ensuring full visibility into Kubernetes clusters and hosted services.

- Develop and optimize networking solutions within and outside Kubernetes to support seamless application and service communication.

- Configure alerts, triggers, and autoscaling mechanisms for node and cluster-level scalability behind load balancers.

- Work with SMEs across networking, directory services, and security to solve integration challenges.

- Architect highly scalable, highly available, and elastic cloud solutions aligned with industry best practices.

- Identify limitations in open-source or commercial tools and propose innovative solutions or custom enhancements.

- Evaluate new and existing cloud services and create architectures that meet stakeholder requirements and internal standards.

- Actively participate in knowledge sharing and contribute to the open-source community.

- Apply CI/CD, RESTful and gRPC API knowledge, and SRE principles in day-to-day work.

- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, delivering solutions independently and collaboratively.

- Prepare and present high-level architectures, diagrams, technical specifications, and solution proposals to technical and executive stakeholders.

Must-Have Skills :

- 15+ years of experience in Linux/Unix, DevOps, Cloud, Containers, and related technologies.

- 7+ years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including control plane, data plane, Docker containers, on-prem and cloud deployments, and cluster scaling.

- 2+ years of experience with Istio, Consul, Terraform/Python automation, and Helm charts.

- 3+ years of experience implementing monitoring and observability for Kubernetes environments.

- Strong understanding of networking and storage concepts across cloud, on-prem, and Kubernetes.

- Experience with multi-node setups of ELK, GKE, Prometheus, Fluent Bit, Kibana, Kafka, and API Gateways (Kong preferred).

- Deep knowledge of networking, firewalls, SSL certificates, and security fundamentals.

- Strong hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, and Azure.

- Strong scripting skills (Bash/Python or equivalent).

- Experience with event-driven microservices architecture.

- Proficiency in RESTful and gRPC APIs.

- Experience with GitOps-based continuous delivery tools and DevOps/SRE practices.

Good-to-Have Skills :

- Experience building distributed, multi-region Kubernetes clusters.

- 1+ years of hands-on experience with Tanzu and VMware virtualization.

- Strong understanding of Kubernetes networking, firewalls, and storage.

- Knowledge of container security (image, pod, networking).

- Experience developing and troubleshooting microservices running on Docker/Kubernetes.

- Experience in diagnosing and resolving production issues in large-scale systems.

Qualification :

- BE/BTech/MCA/ME/MTech/MS in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
