Description :
- Lead the design of event taxonomies, identity resolution frameworks, and data unification logic across systems (CRM, analytics, POS, web, mobile, etc.).
- Drive data integration pipelines using ETL/ELT tools (e.g., dbt, Fivetran, Airbyte, and orchestrate connections between CDP and key marketing tools (ESP, CMS, DMP, etc.).
- Implement customer segmentation logic using behavioral, transactional, and demographic data to support real-time activation.
- Govern customer data schema, privacy compliance (GDPR/CCPA), and consent management integrations.
- Partner with marketing ops, product, and engineering to support cross-channel
personalization, experimentation (e.g., Optimizely, Adobe Target), and customer journey
orchestration.
- Define success metrics, implement data QA processes, and monitor data freshness, profile
stitching accuracy, and system health.
- Provide mentorship to junior team members, lead stakeholder training, and evangelize CDP
best practices across the organization.
Requirements :
- 5 - 7 years of experience in data engineering, martech, or analytics roles, with exposure to CDP or related platforms.
- Deep technical experience with Lytics, Optimizely Data Platform, Segment, or similar tools, including client/server-side data ingestion, identity resolution, and real-time decision-making.
- Strong hands-on expertise in SQL (BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake), JSON, and REST APIs.
- Experience in building or managing customer data pipelines with tools like dbt, Apache Airflow, Fivetran, or Snowplow.
- Proficient in using Tag Management Systems (e.g., GTM, Tealium) and managing event instrumentation across digital properties.
- Solid understanding of data governance, consent management, and data privacy compliance (GDPR, CCPA).
- Ability to lead cross-functional discovery, translate business requirements into technical
solutions, and prioritize CDP roadmap initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience with composable CDP architectures and integrating with headless CMS, experimentation, and orchestration tools.
- Familiarity with customer journey design, predictive modeling, or RFM segmentation.
- Experience integrating CDP with tools like Braze, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Iterable, or
Amplitude.
- CDP or martech certifications (e.g., Lytics Architect, Optimizely Platform Expert, Segment Practitioner).
- Exposure to cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for hosting and processing customer
data workloads.
