Role Description :

The Business Analyst (Data Analytics & AI) acts as a strategic bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, driving the successful delivery of analytics and AI initiatives. The role involves understanding business goals, defining KPIs, translating requirements into analytical and AI-driven solutions, and ensuring insights are actionable and aligned with strategic objectives.

The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical and communication skills, a deep understanding of business processes, and an affinity towards emerging AI technologies such as predictive analytics, natural language processing, and automation. The analyst contributes to AI use case identification, data readiness assessment, and adoption of AI-assisted analytics tools to enhance decision-making and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities :

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand analytical objectives and identify opportunities for data and AI-driven insights.

- Elicit, document, and translate business requirements into analytical use cases, dashboards, and AI models in collaboration with data science and engineering teams.

- Work with technical teams to define data inputs, target metrics, and success criteria for analytics and AI initiatives.

- Participate in AI use case exploration such as predictive modelling, anomaly detection, recommendation systems, and text analytics.

- Collaborate on pilot implementations of AI-driven automation or insight generation in business processes.

- Support visualization teams in designing dashboards that incorporate predictive or AI-enhanced metrics.

- Define and document functional requirements, data mappings, and acceptance criteria for analytics and AI projects.

- Support UAT and result validation for analytical outputs.

- Stay updated on AI trends, tools (like Copilot, ChatGPT, or embedded ML in BI tools), translate those capabilities into practical business applications.

- Promote data literacy and AI awareness within business teams through workshops or demos

Role Requirement :

- 5+ years as a Business Analyst in Data Analytics, BI, or AI projects with proven end-to-end solution delivery experience

- Expertise in requirement gathering, KPI definition, and translating business objectives into measurable analytical outcomes

- Strong knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modeling principles

- Proven ability to collaborate with data science teams to define use cases, evaluate models, and interpret AI outputs for stakeholders

- Exposure to AI/ML concepts: predictive analytics, anomaly detection, recommendation systems, or NLP

- Hands-on experience with visualization platforms (Power BI, Tableau)

- Familiarity with AI-enabled BI tools or automation frameworks (e.g., Copilot in Power BI, AutoML workflows)

- Strong stakeholder management skill,s including workshops, user stories, and UAT for analytics/AI solutions

- Ability to create BRDs, FRDs, and process/data flow diagrams

- Experience in data storytelling, dashboard design, and communicating insights to executives

- Working knowledge of SQL and comfort with data extraction/validation

- Excellent problem-solving, presentation, and communication skills with ability to influence through data-driven narratives

- Bachelor's or Master's in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field. Certifications in Business Analysis (CBAP/PMI-PBA) or Analytics/AI tools are a plus
