Senior BigCommerce Developer - Full Stack Engineering

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior BigCommerce Developer to join our remote team.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and has a strong foundation in web development, especially in BigCommerce, Node.js, and React.js.

Youll play a key role in building scalable, high-performance e-commerce platforms that power global businesses.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and contribute to the development of custom BigCommerce solutions

- Build, extend, and optimize front-end and back-end features using React.js and Node.js

- Work with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and third-party integrations (ERPs, CRMs, payment gateways)

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system architecture, design scalable solutions, and ensure performance

- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices

- Ensure code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and best practices

- Troubleshoot and debug issues across the stack in a production environment

- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in eCommerce and development

Required Qualifications :

- 7+ years of total experience in full-stack or web application development

- 3+ years of hands-on experience with BigCommerce development and APIs

- Strong command over Node.js and React.js for building dynamic frontends and backend services

- Solid experience with CI/CD, DevOps, and deployment automation

- Proficient in Git, version control workflows, and collaborative development

- Strong understanding of System Design, performance optimization, and architectural patterns

- Experience in headless commerce is a plus

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Self-driven and comfortable working in a remote, agile team environment

Bonus Skills :

- Experience with BigCommerce Stencil framework

- Familiarity with Headless Commerce, GraphQL, or BigCommerces Storefront APIs

- Understanding of eCommerce data flows, product catalogs, and inventory logic

- Exposure to other platforms like Shopify, Magento, or Salesforce Commerce Cloud
