Experience : 5 to 10+ Years

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to build and scale the SaaS platform powering an AI-driven legal-tech product.

You will own the backend systems that support user management, matter management, document workflows, billing, notifications, and multi-tenant access control.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and develop scalable APIs using FastAPI, Django, or Flask.

- Build and maintain multi-tenant SaaS architecture with secure data isolation.

- Implement authentication, authorization, and role-based access control (RBAC).

- Develop billing and subscription systems using Razorpay, Stripe, or similar platforms.

- Manage file storage, uploads, exports, and notification services.

- Design PostgreSQL schemas and optimize backend performance.

- Create and maintain API documentation (OpenAPI/Swagger).

Required Skills :

- 5+ years of backend development experience in Python.

- Strong expertise in FastAPI, Django REST Framework, or Flask.

- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and database design.

- Experience building multi-tenant SaaS applications.

- Strong understanding of OAuth, OIDC, JWT, SSO, and RBAC.

- Experience designing REST/GraphQL APIs.

- Exposure to payment gateway integrations (Razorpay, Stripe, etc.).

- AWS experience (S3, SES, IAM, RDS).

Preferred :

- Startup or 0?1 product-building experience.

- Experience with async processing (Celery/RQ).

- Knowledge of compliance, privacy, or regulated domains.

- Exposure to LegalTech, FinTech, HealthTech, or document-centric platforms.
