About the Role :

Our client needs a backend engineer who can own outcomes, not just ship tickets. You will work on the core infrastructure powering onboarding and investment flows for a product serving a globally distributed, financially complex user base. This means building compliance-aware, API-driven systems where reliability and thoughtful architecture both matter.

Based in Bangalore, you will work full-time within a small, high-ownership engineering team. The stack is Python and Django.

Our client is a VC-backed fintech building a first-of-its-kind platform for Non-Resident Indians, covering banking, investments, and wealth management across borders. The NRI segment is large, underserved, and financially intricate, and this company is tackling it in one cohesive product.

What the Role Entails :

- Design and build backend systems supporting onboarding and investment flows at scale

- Own API development and ensure reliable integrations with third-party financial services

- Treat compliance and regulatory requirements as first-class concerns in system design

- Contribute to infrastructure decisions affecting performance, reliability, and security

- Collaborate with product and frontend to ship end-to-end features

The Role Holder :

- You have 4 to 6 years of backend engineering experience, primarily in Python and Django

- You have worked in a startup and know how to move fast without cutting corners

- You understand API-driven architecture and have built integration-heavy systems

- You are comfortable in compliance-heavy or regulated product contexts, with fintech experience as a strong plus

- You take ownership of outcomes and work well with limited hand-holding
