Role Overview:

As a Senior Backend Developer, you will be responsible for architecting and maintaining the core server-side logic that powers our clients' most critical business applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, frontend engineers, and system architects, to translate complex business requirements into clean, efficient, and maintainable code. Your work will directly influence the scalability and reliability of platforms serving thousands of concurrent users, ensuring that our technical solutions remain resilient under high-load conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and implement scalable backend services and APIs that support high-traffic enterprise applications to ensure seamless data flow and system performance.

- Optimize database schemas and query performance to reduce latency and improve the overall responsiveness of client-facing platforms.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical specifications and architectural roadmaps, ensuring that software solutions align with long-term business objectives.

- Conduct rigorous code reviews and mentor junior developers to maintain high standards of code quality and engineering best practices across the team.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring the stability of distributed systems.

Required Skillset:

- Develop backend services using Python, Node.js, and Python (FastAPI/Flask/Django).

- Design and implement robust RESTful APIs.

- Work with PostgreSQL for database design, queries, and optimization.

- Build scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems.

- Integrate APIs with frontend applications and third-party services.

- Optimize database performance (indexing, query tuning).

- Deploy and manage services in Azure App Services / Azure cloud.

- Use GitHub and GitHub Actions for version control and CI/CD pipelines.

- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues.

- Ensure security practices including authentication and authorization.

- Work in Agile teams and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.

- Participate in code reviews and follow development best practices.

- Strong knowledge of SQL to analyze, develop and enhance the functionality.
