About the Role:

Our client needs a backend engineer who can own outcomes, not just ship tickets. You will work on the core infrastructure powering onboarding and investment flows for a product serving a globally distributed, financially complex user base. This means building compliance-aware, API-driven systems where reliability and thoughtful architecture both matter.

Based in Bangalore, you will work full-time within a small, high-ownership engineering team.

The stack is Python and Django.

What the Role Entails:

- Design and build backend systems supporting onboarding and investment flows at scale

- Own API development and ensure reliable integrations with third-party financial services

- Treat compliance and regulatory requirements as first-class concerns in system design

- Contribute to infrastructure decisions affecting performance, reliability, and security

- Collaborate with product and frontend to ship end-to-end features

The Role Holder:

- You have 4 to 9 years of backend engineering experience, primarily in Python and Django

- You have worked in a start-up and know how to move fast without cutting corners

- You understand API-driven architecture and have built integration-heavy systems

- You are comfortable in compliance-heavy or regulated product contexts, with fintech experience as a strong plus

- You take ownership of outcomes and work well with limited hand-holding
