Role Overview :

As a Senior Backend Developer, you will be the backbone of our engineering team, responsible for architecting and maintaining complex server-side systems.

You will work closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and DevOps teams to translate business requirements into efficient, high-availability services.

Your work will directly influence the scalability and reliability of our platforms, ensuring a seamless experience for thousands of end-users while maintaining clean, maintainable codebases that support long-term product growth.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement scalable microservices architecture to ensure system modularity and high performance for our core product offerings.

- Develop and maintain high-traffic RESTful webservices to facilitate seamless data exchange between internal systems and external client applications.

- Optimize backend performance by identifying bottlenecks and implementing efficient database queries and caching strategies.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new features and resolve technical debt, ensuring the stability of the production environment.

- Mentor junior developers by conducting code reviews and promoting best practices in software design and documentation.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in building production-ready applications using Node.js, Python, or Golang, with the ability to choose the right tool for specific architectural needs.

- Proficiency in TypeScript to ensure type safety and maintainability across large-scale backend codebases.

- Strong understanding of containerization and orchestration using Docker to streamline deployment pipelines and environment consistency.

- Proven ability to design and manage complex microservices architectures, including inter-service communication and data consistency patterns.

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and work effectively in an on-site environment in Mohali.

- A minimum of 4 - 8 years of professional experience in backend development, showcasing a track record of delivering high-quality software solutions.
