About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Architect / Lead with 10+ years of software engineering experience to lead complex backend development and architectural initiatives. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, GraphQL, REST APIs, AWS, and modern AI integrations, along with strong technical leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead backend architecture, application development, and complex technical initiatives.

- Design scalable, secure, extensible, and cloud-native solutions using AWS.

- Develop and architect high-performance backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.

- Build scalable APIs and services using GraphQL and RESTful architectures.

- Integrate AI capabilities and AI/ML services into modern backend applications.

- Drive engineering best practices, code quality, testing standards, and test coverage.

- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to deliver effective technical solutions.

- Ensure applications meet high standards of performance, security, scalability, and reliability.

- Mentor developers, conduct code reviews, and promote technical growth within the team.

- Drive DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and collaborative software engineering workflows.

- Stay updated with emerging technologies, cloud computing, AI advancements, and modern development practices.

- Adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, agile, remote environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 10+ years of overall software engineering experience, with strong expertise in enterprise backend development.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

- Strong hands-on expertise in Node.js and TypeScript.

- Proven experience with GraphQL and RESTful APIs.

- Strong hands-on experience with AWS / cloud computing.

- Experience integrating AI capabilities or AI/ML services into software architectures.

- Strong understanding of microservices, databases, design patterns, OOP, concurrency, and performance optimization.

- Proven experience in technical leadership, mentoring, and code reviews.

- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

- Ability to manage complex technical projects and deliver within timelines.

- Experience working effectively in distributed / remote teams.
