Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Azure Infrastructure Administrator with 8+ years of enterprise IT infrastructure expertise. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of Azure cloud services, hybrid infrastructure, and on-premises server management. This role requires strong technical leadership, hands-on administration, and a proactive approach to optimization, automation, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Azure Infrastructure Management :

- Design, deploy, and administer Azure IaaS components including Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, NSGs, Load Balancers, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateways, and Azure Bastion.

- Implement and manage ARM templates, Azure Policies, and role-based access control (RBAC).

- Monitor and optimize performance using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Network Watcher, and related tools.

- Manage Azure hybrid services such as Azure Arc, Azure Update Manager, Azure Site Recovery, and Azure Migrate.

2. Backup & Disaster Recovery :

- Configure and manage Azure Backup for VMs, file shares, and SQL workloads.

- Implement, test, and maintain Azure Site Recovery (ASR) for BCDR strategies.

- Define and maintain backup policies, retention standards, and encryption compliance.

- Conduct periodic disaster recovery drills and ensure recovery readiness.

3. On-Premises & Hybrid Server Management :

- Administer Windows Server environments (2012 R2/2016/2019/2022) including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and file services.

- Manage hybrid identity solutions using Azure AD Connect, SSO, and Conditional Access.

- Support VMware/Hyper-V virtualization platforms and integrate hybrid workloads with Azure.

- Automate provisioning, patching, and monitoring using PowerShell, Ansible, or Azure Automation.

4. Security, Compliance & Governance :

- Apply Zero Trust security principles across cloud and on-prem environments.

- Implement and manage NSGs, ASGs, and Azure Firewall to ensure secure segmentation.

- Collaborate with security teams to remediate vulnerabilities and adhere to standards such as ISO 27001 and CIS.

5. Operational Excellence & Collaboration :

- Provide L3 support for infrastructure-related incidents and change activities.

- Develop and maintain infrastructure documentation, SOPs, and runbooks.

- Participate in ITSM processes including Change, Incident, and Problem Management.

- Work cross-functionally with Cloud, Network, Security, and Application teams to enable integrated solutions.

Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Minimum 8 years of enterprise IT infrastructure experience with a focus on Azure cloud services, hybrid environments, and on-premises server management.

Preferred Certifications :

- AZ-104 : Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate

- AZ-305 : Azure Solutions Architect Expert (preferred)

- AZ-500 : Azure Security Engineer Associate (added advantage)
