Cloud Engineer (Azure Focus)

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Cloud Engineer with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure to join our remote team in India. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and managing robust, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure and solutions. You will work collaboratively with various teams to deliver cutting-edge cloud environments that meet our business objectives.

Job Summary

As a Cloud Engineer, you will be a key contributor to our cloud strategy, leveraging your deep expertise in Azure services and Infrastructure as Code. You will be responsible for building and maintaining our cloud environments, ensuring they are optimized for performance, security, and cost-efficiency. Your role will involve close collaboration with development, data, and analytics teams to support a wide range of projects.

Technical Skills & Requirements :

- Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform (preferred), Bicep, or ARM templates. You should be proficient in automating infrastructure provisioning and management.

- Solid understanding of source control systems like Git and extensive experience working with GitHub or Azure Repos. You are adept at collaborative development workflows.

- Deep understanding of and practical experience with the five pillars of the Azure Well-Architected Framework (Cost Optimization, Operational Excellence, Performance Efficiency, Reliability, and Security).

- Extensive experience in several of the following Azure areas:

- Azure database architecture (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure PostgreSQL)

- Azure Data Factory

- Azure Synapse Analytics

- ETL processes and tools

- Business intelligence (BI) solutions

- Big data technologies

- Machine learning (ML) platforms

- Advanced analytics

- Strong familiarity with Azure networking and security concepts, including practical experience with services such as:

- Azure Front Door

- Azure Application Gateway

- Azure Firewall

- Network Security Groups (NSGs)

- Virtual Networks (VNets)

- Private Endpoints

- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including business analysts, developers, data scientists, and subject-matter experts. You can bridge the gap between technical solutions and business needs.

- Familiarity with agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and container technologies like Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) is a significant plus.
