Senior Azure Cloud Engineer

Description :

Key Responsibilities :

Azure Infrastructure Ownership :

- Own and manage Azure infrastructure supporting enterprise platforms (e.g., Trac-IT).

Ensure availability, scalability, performance, and stability of Azure App Services :

1. WebJobs

2. Azure Data Factory (ADF)

3. Azure SQL / SQL Server Managed Instance

- Maintain infrastructure configurations, dependencies, and service relationships.

- Ensure platform readiness for production workloads.

- Monitoring, Alerts & Reliability

Design, implement, and maintain :

- Operational dashboards (service health, throughput, performance)

- Monitoring dashboards for ADF, App Services, and SQL MI

- Alerting mechanisms for failures, latency, connectivity, and resource usage

- Reduce alert noise and ensure alerts are actionable and meaningful.

- Proactively identify risks and reliability issues before incidents occur.

Deployment & Configuration Management :

- Support and maintain CI/CD pipelines and Azure configurations.

- Ensure environment consistency across Dev, Test, Stage, and Production.

- Validate infrastructure changes, configuration updates, and releases.

- Coordinate deployments with application and engineering teams.

Troubleshooting & Incident Management :

- Act as a primary responder for production incidents.

Troubleshoot and resolve :

- Azure service connectivity issues

- VNet and private endpoint integration issues

- Network latency and timeout issues

- ADF pipeline failures and performance bottlenecks

- App Service, WebJobs, and SQL MI operational issues

- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and document corrective actions.

- Drive incident resolution and post-incident improvements.

Networking & Security Operations :

Manage Azure networking components :

- VNets, Subnets, NSGs

- Private endpoints and Private DNS

- Ensure all service communication is secure and private.

- Maintain Azure Key Vault for secrets and credentials management.

Support :

- Security reviews and audits

- Compliance validations

- Collaborate with enterprise security and networking teams.

- Platform Hygiene & Optimization

Monitor and optimize :

1. Resource utilization

2. Cost efficiency

3. Performance baselines

- Apply Azure best practices for resilience and reliability.

- Maintain operational runbooks and platform documentation.

- Continuously improve platform operability and supportability.

Required Qualifications :

Core Azure Skills :

Strong hands-on experience with :

1. Azure App Services

2. Azure Data Factory

3. Azure SQL / SQL Managed Instance

4. Azure Key Vault

- Experience managing production-grade Azure environments.

Monitoring & Observability :

Hands-on experience with :

1. Azure Monitor

2. Log Analytics

3. Application Insights

- Ability to design dashboards and implement effective alerting strategies.

Networking & Security :

Strong understanding of :

1. Azure VNets, Subnets, NSGs

2. Private Endpoints and Private DNS

3. Secure cloud architecture principles

- Experience in handling sensitive/secure data environments.

Operations & Support :

Proven experience in :

- Production support and on-call rotations

- Incident management and RCA

- Cross-team coordination during outages

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with automation and scripting (PowerShell, Python, etc.)

- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (ARM, Bicep, Terraform)

- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools

- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
