Description :

We are hiring a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer to support infrastructure modernization, migration readiness, and cloud governance across enterprise-scale environments.

Key Responsibilities :

- Deploy, configure, and maintain production-grade Azure IaaS environments, including virtual networks, subnets, NSGs, and routing.

- Build and maintain reusable infrastructure definitions using Terraform or Bicep templates.

- Automate resource provisioning, policy updates, and backup operations using PowerShell or Bash scripts.

- Enforce Azure governance standards through policy application, RBAC configuration, and Defender monitoring.

- Conduct discovery and readiness assessments using Azure Migrate and support hybrid onboarding through Azure Arc.

- Configure and manage backup and retention policies in Recovery Services Vaults; contribute to DR runbooks and validation exercises.

- Participate in CI/CD workflows, integrating IaC deployments into release pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub.

- Document cloud configurations, operational procedures, and architecture diagrams to support smooth handoffs to

platform teams.

- Collaborate with cloud architects and DevOps engineers to ensure best practices in scalability, security, and cost

optimization.

Must-Have Skills:

- Hands-on experience deploying and managing Azure IaaS components such as VM Scale Sets (VMSS), VNets, Storage Accounts, and ExpressRoute/VPN connectivity.

- Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or Bicep, including editing modules, managing environment variables, and working with remote state backends.

- Strong scripting proficiency in PowerShell or Bash for automation of compute, network, and policy operations, with proper logging and error handling.

- Working knowledge of Azure Governance - including Policy, RBAC, and Microsoft Defender for Cloud - to enforce compliance and tagging standards.

- Experience with Azure Migrate or Azure Arc for discovery, compatibility assessment, and migration readiness validation.

- Knowledge of Azure Backup configurations, Recovery Services vault setup, retention policy definition, and basic DR validation drills.

- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions for executing release pipelines and integrating IaC deployments.

- Proven ability to produce technical documentation, including as-built diagrams, operational SOPs, and support handoff guides.

Nice-to-Have Skills :

- Ability to read and modify Bicep templates for parameterized Azure resources such as VNets, NSGs, and storage accounts.

- Awareness of serverless or container-based architectures (Azure Functions, AKS, etc.) and readiness assessment concepts.

- Understanding of Azure Site Recovery (ASR) for replication policy setup and DR region configuration.

- Basic Python scripting skills for automation or DevOps tool integration.

- Microsoft Certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305) to validate hands-on Azure expertise.
