Position : Senior AWS DevOps Engineer.

Experience : 10 to 12+ Years.

Role Overview :

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior AWS DevOps Engineer with deep, hands-on expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices.

The ideal candidate must possess strong core knowledge of AWS servicesespecially Amazon S3, be client-facing, and capable of guiding technical teams, proposing architectural improvements, and owning production-grade cloud environments.

This role requires both technical depth and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available AWS infrastructure.

- Act as a technical point of contact for clients, handling requirement discussions, solution design, and technical clarifications.

- Lead and mentor DevOps engineers, providing technical guidance and best-practice recommendations.

- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, and Argo CD.

- Manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes (AWS EKS mandatory).

- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform (modules, remote state, best practices).

- Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives (on-premises to AWS).

- Configure and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.

- Handle production incidents, root cause analysis (RCA), and operational improvements.

- Ensure security, compliance, and cost optimization across AWS environments.

Mandatory AWS S3 Expertise (Non-Negotiable) :

The candidate must have deep, practical, and architectural-level knowledge of Amazon S3, including :

- S3 architecture, durability, availability, and storage classes.

- Cross-account access using IAM roles and bucket policies.

- Versioning (use cases, delete markers, recovery scenarios).

- Replication (CRR and SRR configurations and limitations).

- S3 Access Points (multi-account and VPC-restricted access).

- Pre-signed URLs for secure object uploads and downloads.

- Performance optimization.

- Multipart uploads.

- Prefix design and request parallelization.

- Security best practices.

- SSE-S3, SSE-KMS.

- Public access blocking.

- Object ownership and access control.

- Cost optimization.

- Lifecycle policies.

- Intelligent-Tiering and archival strategies.

The candidate should be able to explain real-world use cases, troubleshooting scenarios, and design decisions, not just theoretical concepts.

Required Technical Skills :

- Extensive hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, ELB, Lambda, EKS).

- Terraform (mandatory) real-world infrastructure automation experience.

- Strong expertise in Kubernetes (EKS) and Docker.

- CI/CD and GitOps best practices.

- Linux system administration and scripting (Bash / Python).

- Strong understanding of cloud security and networking principles.

Monitoring & Operations :

- Experience with CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, or Dynatrace.

- Proven exposure to production support, incident management, and RCA.

- Ability to work in on-call or critical support scenarios when required.

Communication & Client-Facing Skills (Mandatory) :

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to provide clear, concise, and well-structured explanations.

- Strong experience in client interactions, technical discussions, and architecture walkthroughs.

- Confidence in presenting solutions and explaining trade-offs to stakeholders.

Nice to Have :

- Kubernetes certifications (CKA / CKAD).

- DevSecOps experience.

- Experience managing large-scale, high-availability production systems.
